SEMCOG's traffic volume map represents Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) for roads in Southeast Michigan that are eligible for Federal Funds.
Instructions: To acquire AADT and additional information about a road segment, zoom into the segment and click on it.
Additional information provided includes:
- Year the traffic count was taken
- Type of traffic count
- Number of lanes
- Speed limit
- Ownership of road
The three types of AADTs represented:
Observed - actual counts taken on the segment
Interpolated - calculated based on adjacent counts
Default - calculated based on county, number of lanes, and functional class
Note: Speed limit data is based on information we obtained from various agencies and can vary from actual posted speeds.
